Types of work

More than multi-drop.

Drivers pick the work that suits their vehicle and their week. Companies get cover for every kind of round they run.

  • Door-to-door multi-drop

Full rounds of residential and business drops from a local depot, paid per parcel, per drop or by the day.

  • Locker route

Fill and empty parcel lockers on a set loop. Fewer doorsteps, more compartments, tight timings.

  • ParcelShop / pickup point

Deliver to and collect from pickup points and convenience stores on a fixed run.

  • Collections & returns

Pick up customer returns and business collections, scanned and logged back at the depot.

  • Same-day dedicated

Dedicated, time-critical runs — one vehicle, one client, door to door the same day.

  • Sorting / warehouse

Sorting, loading and yard roles at hubs and delivery stations, especially at peak.

    Enrol online

Upload your right to work, licence check code, insurance and vehicle details from your phone.

  2. 2

    Get verified

We check everything and approve you — usually within a couple of working days once your documents are complete.

More for drivers

For companies

  1. 1

    Post a job

Depot, date, start time, vehicle, number of drivers and your rate per parcel, drop, hour or day.

  2. 2

    We allocate

We match vetted drivers whose documents are valid on the day — and you see who is coming.

  3. 3

    Approve & pay

Review each driver's end-of-day report and photos, approve, and get one consolidated invoice.

More for companies

Fully digital

No paper timesheets. No chasing.

One record follows every shift, from the moment a driver enrols to the moment they're paid. Drivers, clients and our team all see the same thing.

  1. 01

    Day one

    Enrol

Documents uploaded and checked online. Agreements signed electronically.
  2. 02

    Before the shift

    Allocated

Driver requests or accepts the job. Only compliant drivers can be confirmed.
  3. 03

    At the depot

    Check-in

Location-verified check-in, fitness declaration and vehicle walkaround.
  4. 04

    After the round

    End-of-day proof

Counts, failed-delivery reasons, mileage and POD or manifest photos.
  5. 05

    Every week

    Weekly pay

Client approves, we issue self-billed statements and pay the driver.

Compliance

Checked before the first parcel.

Supplying drivers into someone else's operation means sharing their legal risk. We do the checks, keep the records, and can show you the audit trail.

How we handle compliance
  • Right to work

Home Office share code, certified digital ID or manual check for every driver — including self-employed contractors, as the rules in force from 1 October 2026 require. Follow-up checks before permission expires.

  • DVLA licence checks

Licence categories, endorsements and validity checked against DVLA records with the driver's check code, and re-checked regularly.

  • Insurance verified

Hire and reward (courier) motor insurance, goods in transit and public liability, with expiry dates tracked. Expired cover blocks allocation automatically.

  • UK GDPR by design

Clients see only what they need — name, photo, vehicle, verification status. Bank and NI details are encrypted. Location is recorded only during a shift.

FAQ

Straight answers

Can’t find what you need? Get in touch.

Is DropDash an agency or a courier company?
Neither, quite. We vet and supply self-employed delivery drivers to courier companies, delivery service partners and subcontractors, and run the whole shift online — allocation, check-in, end-of-day proof and pay. The courier company runs the round; we make sure the driver turning up is checked, insured and paid properly.
Do drivers pay anything to join?
No. It is free to register and free to be offered work. Under the Employment Agencies Act 1973, agencies and employment businesses may not charge work-seekers a fee for finding them work — and we never do.
Are drivers employed by DropDash?
Most drivers work with us as self-employed contractors: they choose which jobs to accept, can turn work down without penalty, use their own vehicle and can work for others. Our driver terms explain this in plain English.
What checks do you carry out on drivers?
Before anyone is allocated work we check their right to work in the UK (under the rules in force from 1 October 2026), their driving licence with the DVLA, their hire and reward motor insurance, goods in transit and public liability cover, proof of address and vehicle MOT and tax. Basic DBS checks are added where a client requires them.
How quickly can a company get drivers?
Once your company account is approved you can post jobs straight away and we start allocating from our pool of vetted drivers in your area. How quickly a job fills depends on location, vehicle type and notice — tell us what you need and we will give you a straight answer.
Which parts of the UK do you cover?
We recruit drivers across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Coverage is strongest where our clients have depots, so if you are a driver, register anyway — we will tell you when work comes up near you.
